There are many things that make Anna Maria Island magical – The old Florida vibe and the distinct lack of big box stores. The friendly people – happy vacationers and even happier residents (they don’t have to leave!).
But the big draw is the beach, all 7 glorious miles of powder white sand with turquoise water lapping its shores. People come from all around the world, and from other parts of Florida, just to have a short time to spend on Anna Maria Island beaches.
Bean Point is located on the northern tip of the island. It features huge swathes of gorgeous sand and even bigger views. Egmont Key and The Sunshine Skyway can be spotted over the impossibly blue water. Named after one of the first developers of the island, people come to walk, bask and explore.
A good option if you’re driving to the beach from off the island because it has a ton of parking. Don’t be fooled though, on holiday weekends and Spring Break months it can be a challenge to find that coveted parking spot – plan to arrive early.
